Sony has unveiled the Sony Xperia ZR, which comes with waterproofing functionality as seen in the Xperia Z line of smartphone. In the promoting video, Sony shows off the feature in all its glory. And unlike many gimmicky features feature found on some Smartphone, waterproofing and the ability to capture still and video in up to 1.5m of fresh water is a very useful feature.
According to reports, the Sony Xperia ZR features the following:
- A 4.55-inchesOLED display and Resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
- 13-megapixel Sony Exmor RS sensor along with a dedicated camera button.
- A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset clocked at 1.5GHZ and 2GB of RAM.
- 8GB of internal memory, which can expand via microSD to 32GB.
- Includes 4G LTE, NFC and DLNA connectivity.
- Runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
