Yesterday, we reported (via Digitimes) that Apple is about to start production of the fifth-generation iPad. Today, French tech blog, Nowhereelse.fr,  posted a purported photo of the front panel display of the fifth-generation iPad.

According to the report, a Chinese source sent the photo of the front panel display to the website.

The jury is still out about the authenticity of the photo. The display of the image looks very similar to the front display panel of the iPad mini. However, there is still a large surface area visible, despite the person placing the palm of their hand on the surface. This indicates that the panel is more likely to be 9.7-inch rather than the 7.9-inch of the iPad mini, according to the report .

As mentioned earlier, this confirms Digitimes report that the fifth-generation may well be released to the public this summer.
