Beats Executive Headphones

 

Beats has unveil a the Beats Executive Headphones targeting a more mature audience. The Beats by Dr. Dre headphones brand, launched in 2008, has gone from strength to strength becoming the must have earphones among the youths. The Beats by Dr. Dre  has enlisted a number of celebrates including the likes of Lil Wayne, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.

The company had originally collaborated with Monster, however this relationship came to end in July of this year. The Beats brand has also received endorsement from technology companies such as HTC and HP. Both of these companies use Beats audio technology in their smartphones and PCs respectively.


Specking to TechCrunch, this is what Luke Wood, president and COO of Beats had to say:

If you look at the category right now, almost all the competing products are made of plastic. We’re bringing craftsmanship and premium materials, such as aluminum alloy, stainless steel, and hand-stitched leather. Beats has fans of every age, but we wanted to build the Executive for the business traveller who doesn’t necessarily feel comfortable wearing bright green headphones on the plane.

 

Beats Executive Headphones

The new Beats Executive headphones is set to feature:

  • The Beats Executive Headphones is made from aluminium alloy, stainless steel and leather. The headphones folds flat for easier storage, and comes with a carrying case.
  •  Active noise-cancelling functionality, which will be powered by two AAA batteries. The batteries lasts for 25 hours.

The Beats Executive headphones will retail for $299 and is expected to be available in mid-October this year.
