Sony’s teaser video announcing the February 20 PlayStation event
Interesting photos of a prototype Playstation 4 has been doing the round on the internet. Gaming blog – Destructoid has published photos of the purported controller for Sony’s next generation console.
According to Destructoid:
Remember when we told you of rumblings on the next PlayStation system’s controller and how it might have a touchscreen? Well, get a look at this strange thing. This image looks like a PlayStation-style controller plugged into something that looks like a development kit.
It does look like a touchscreen has been worked into the middle of the controller. What’s that thing on the top? Also, get a load of those analog sticks. They look like belly buttons.
Now the PlayStation ooficial blog has posted a new video, PlayStation Evolution: The Beginning, retracing Sony’s entry into the gaming console market and how far the come has come. This new video clearly suggest that PlayStation 4 debut is very much on the card on Februrary 20.
According to the PlayStation blog:
PlayStation’s arrival to the world of gaming signaled a change in the status quo and a sign of things to come. The original PlayStation system emerged in 1994 in Japan as a dark horse challenger, a seemingly outgunned newcomer entering a crowded field dominated by legends of the 16-bit era. PlayStation’s advanced technology and innovative controller design won raves with critics and gamers, and in 1995, the system expanded to North America, Europe, and Australia. Accompanied by a powerful salvo of titles including WipEout, Crash Bandicoot, and Gran Turismo, PlayStation’s rapid rise marked the end of one era of videogames and the dawn of another. The world was never the same.
