Sony Unveils The Xperia Tablet Z 10.1-inch

Today Sony has announced the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. The tablet is set to feature Android 4.1, quad-core processor – 1.5GHz and 10.1 inches WUXGA display.

Other standout features the Sony Xperia Tablet Z 10.1-inch tablet includes:

•  Waterproof and dustproof performance
• 6.9 millimeters thin and weighs about 495g
• “Reality Display” (not “Retina Display”) technology which produces high-brightness and high-definition video on the WUXGA display
• The display will be powered by the “Mobile Bravia Engine 2” technology  to produce more vivid and beautiful image content representation
• A 8.1 million pixel camera using the CMOS sensor “Exmor R for mobile”  featuring back-illuminated technology for the first time on the Sony Xperia Tablet
• A “S-Force Front Surround 3D” virtual surround sound technology , which is exclusive to Sony to achieve a sense of spaciousness
• And Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to enable  one-touch wireless streaming of photos and music.

The Xperia Tablet Z is set to be available this spring for the Japanese market. It will also be available in Black and White.
