Rumor: Apple to Launch 12.9-inch iPad Maxi in the First Half of Next Year

iPad

Rumors about future Apple  products appears to be on the increase from media outlets in Asia at the moment. Yesterday, we reported that Apple is set to launch the next-generation iPhone with a slimmer screen frame and 1.5 million pixels display.

Today,  Etnews – a South Korean website, is reporting that Apple is set to launch an 12.9-inch iPad Maxi (tentative name), according to industry sources

Here are the highlights from the report (via Google Translate):

  • Apple will launch a 12-inches iPad in the first half of next year.
  • This 12.9-inch iPad will reportedly target the notebook PC market.
  •  Apple iPad Maxi will also help Apple to broaden their presence in the digital textbook market.
  • The new iPad will come with an advanced display, which would reduce glare.

Sounds too far-fetched for me.
