PAUL – The Amazing Online Media Aggregator for Android

There are lots of media sites online today, many of which are videos and music related. It will be a great thing if you can have all these contents downloaded and saved in your Android at the same time and you can play all of them by using the same application. Here today we are with a client which will enable you to the mentioned features.  PAUL – The App is capable of aggregating and automatically downloading the latest videos and music from the likes of YouTube, CNN, ESPN ScoreCenter, Last.fm, Facebook and Twitter. The fresh update to the Google Play Store is developed by Inmobly. The classic feature of the app is that the client downloads all your favorite contents at a specified time each day so you don’t have to repeat the pause and play action with your download.

First Impression:

  • It’s a freebie!
  • It is quite stable app which performs flawlessly with devices having Android 4.0 (ICS) or above.
  • It has beautiful UI. You will definitely love the appearance of the app in your droid.
  • There are plenty of widgets to play around.
  • It is undoubtedly the smartest Media Aggregator. (The reasons you will find in next “Detailed View” section.)

Detailed View:

Paul – Smart Media Aggregator

Yes, it is smart. Developers are claiming that app learns from your social media habits that which kind of media content attracts you the most. By learning that it automatically downloads the content for you. It is useless to say that you can connect your social media profile with the app. You can also decide the volume of content you want the app to include in your feeds from each supported connected social media account.

Another thing that makes this app a smart one is it has feedback mechanism. It controls bandwidth use quite effectively.  The app uses a data compression technology while downloading the video or music file and with this app you will have a feature (Which I appreciate the most) of data analytics which update you about your bandwidth usage. You can check your daily, monthly and yearly bandwidth usage too. In order to have a look at the mentioned data you have to use app’s My Savings screen.  You also have the option to keep all the saved content for a short, medium or long period.

The app also enables to have all your favorite media content when you are offline.

Eye Catchers

The app is very well organized. You will find different tab for different affiliated service chosen by you on app’s home screen. You will find available videos or media content in the notification center of particular tab. You can also share these videos. Tapping a video title begins playing it in the app’s native player that offers basic playback controls and a seek bar.

As I have mentioned in “First Impression” there is a wide range of pre-installed widgets that comes with the app. All these widgets are completely relevant to app functioning. These widgets offer you the information and access to your favorite content. There is also a widget that keeps you updating with bandwidth statistics. You can have all this information in a single generic widget too.

Voids

There are not so much to criticize except the developers could have made it more user-friendly. Sometimes smartness also hurts! So we wish to have more user privileges in later updates.

Our Say:

You can definitely go for the app. It is free and quite efficient too.

We always believe in updating our users with latest updates such as watch Hulu US on Android. You may also refer this blog post to have more insight with our updates. We are crazy about all those things which lands on Android, iOS, Mac and Windows.
