Despite not featuring at Google I/O event, a Nexus Q successor appears to be on its way, according to reports.

SlashGear (via TabletGuide) is reporting that a new Google media player has been spotted in FCC testing. According to the report, “the Google H840 WiFi-testing listing has been pared back thanks to a confidentiality request, but the wireless report does confirm that it “functions as a media player” with 2.4GHz WiFi b/g/n connectivity.”

The fate of the current Nexus Q was sealed recently when Google announced that they would not be officially supporting the streamer with the All Access Subscription music service. According to the report, a combination of high price and lack of features killed the Nexus Q project.
