Bloomberg: Apple to Unveil Apple Watch Series 6 And New iPad Air

  • September 14, 2020

Apple is set to release its latest products at a virtual event on Tuesday, according to Bloomberg.

The iPhone make will debut an Apple Watch, Series 6, featuring a better processor and a blood oxygen meter. Apple is also planning to release a brand new low-end model to compete with cheaper devices from rivals.

In addition to the Apple Watch, the Cupertino-based technology giant is going to unveil new mid-tier iPad Air tablet computer. The new design of the iPad Air would reportedly mimic the design of the company’s flagship iPad Pro device. It would lose the Touch ID button to gain the all glass appearance as the iPad Pro. The device would have a slower processor which would enable the company to keep the price cheaper than the iPad Pro.

Mark Gurman also reported that we could expect new Mac computers with Apple chips, over-ear headphones and a AirTag device that would help in locating physical items later this year. Another rumoured device set to make an appearance at some point this year is a cheaper HomePod with fewer speakers. Apple is preparing to update the HomePod’s software to better integrate with the Apple TV devices.
