After being “inspired” by Apple’s iPhone. It appears Samsung is taking another look at how Apple does things. According to Brisbanetimes, “the company has opened a flagship consumer electronics store on Sydney’s George Street with smiling blue shirt-wearing sales staff, a minimalist design and smartphones and tablets that invite customers to pick up and play.”
The store is apparently located a few blocks from Apple’s Sydney store. The report stated that, “Everything from the store layout to the sales staff to the products and even the packaging and promotional material is uncannily Apple-esque.”
However, things got even better. Accorded to the report – in an interview, Samsung Australia’s vice-president of telecommunications, Tyler McGee, is quoted as saying, “didn’t even come into the equation when we were looking for a location.” With regards to the layout, he said that, “if you look at our layout this is the layout that we use around the world and it’s about basically giving the consumers the opportunity to interact, learn and play with our devices.” Have you heard that somewhere before, I sure did.
