According to a new report from the Financial Post,  Jefferies analyst – Peter Misek believes that Apple will likely launch a larger screen iPhone 6 in June 2014.

Mr. Misek has a very strong track record in predicting future Apple products, hence this rumor should not be taken lightly.  Peter Misek prediction on the larger screen iPhone has some credibility as a result of Tim Cooks recent comments.

“Our competitors have made some significant tradeoffs in many of these areas to ship a larger display,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said on the earnings call. “We would not ship a larger display iPhone while these tradeoffs exist.”

According to the report Peter Misek also made several other predictions in his notes:

  • The supply chain is primed for an iPhone 5S and pivoting to the iPhone 6 will take at least two or three-quarters.
  • The iPhone 5S will come in new colours, a faster processor and a better camera.
  • Apple will likely launch a mobile payment platform using third-party clearing and Passbook as the base.
  • Fingerprint authentication and NFC are likely additions in the next iPhone.
