Bloomberg: Apple Developing iPhones With Curved Dsplays And Enhanced Sensors

According to a new report from Bloomberg, Apple is working on new iPhone designs including bigger screens (4.7 and 5.5 inches) with curved glass and enhanced sensors that can detect different levels of pressure. This information was obtained from people familiar with the plans, the report said.

The report indicates that Apple will launch two new models of iPhones in 2Q2014 featuring a larger display with glass that curves downward at the edges. This suggest that the whole body of the phone will not be curved in the same way as the Galaxy Round.

The new models of iPhones are also expected to sport new sensors that can distinguish heavy or light touches on the screen. Testing continues on the pressure-sensitive technology, which is unlikely to be ready for the next iPhone release and is instead planned for a later model, the report said.
